Cheshire East reflects... (Commemoration of WW1)    December 9, 2017

This collaborative programme, entitled Cheshire East Reflects, is bringing together all aspects of the Local Authority with local community groups, organisations and partners such as the Imperial War Museum North.

There will be opportunities to participate in a wide variety events and activities across the Borough and for community groups to promote their own commemorative events.

We have been appointed as the Creative Producer for Cheshire East Reflects, a project to commemorate the First World War.

We are currently developing a large scale arts and community participation event, which will take place over the 2018 armistice weekend. Although the events will take place early evening at Crewe (Sat 10 Nov) and Tatton Park (Sunday 11 Nov), it is intended that the project will engage the wider Cheshire East community.

As part of the research for the project we are looking into potential opportunities to connect with groups and individuals from each parish as well as gaining an overview of other WWI commemorative projects and events taking place across the county.

We would welcome any assistance you might be able to offer in identifying WWI commemorative works that have already taken place as well as those planned for the coming year within your area.
